The Westhampton Beach Fire Department was called out to a dumpster fire behind 132 Main Street in Westhampton Beach at 8:54 this morning. The volunteers responded with two chiefs, an engine, and a tower truck. The firefighters had water on the fire by 9:00 AM and it was quickly extinguished. The hose team spent some time turning over the debris in the dumpster and pouring more water onto it. After re-packing hoses all units returned to headquarters. No injuries were reported.
